Can I fix ia burn in with an app or do I need to do something else?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. The burn in is a bar across the middle of the screen and a box on the bottom left hand corner. I have tried an app that fixes burn ins if you use it about 8 hours. I used it last night while I slept for 6 hours but nothing changed.

Such apps are I believe of limited usefulness. You may need to replace the display.

Hardware cannot be repaired by software.
