Can I force the Oreo update on LG G5 with VPN and Mock Locations?

I'm in Hungary (Central Europe) and wanted to get the Oreo update sooner, can I somehow trick the system to think I'm in Canada or somewhere else where the update is already out, or is it determined by IMEI when to update the system?

I don't think it's location based. It probably is determined by the IMEI.
