Can I get my Micro Sim changed to a Nano Sim?

I wanted to get the new S7 as i am coming from the S5 but i just realized that both phones take a different SIM.

I am buying the phone unlocked from overseas and was wondering if i could go to my provider and basically get a new nano sim card with the same number without having to tell them why? I mean, cant i get in trouble for using an unlocked phone and not registering it with them?

What about places that cut Sim cards? Real or Sketch?

You can't really get in trouble. I never register any of my unlocked phones. That being said, I just got a sim cutter on Amazon and used that to cut mine down from micro to nano. Good luck!
