Need help downgrading Verizon GS5 to 4.4.4 - ON MAC

I've been holding off upgrading my Verizon gs5 to 5.0, but today something happened (I either accidentally pressed OK to the update or it did it automatically) and my GS5 updated to 5.0. The update is completely awful and I've spent most of today researching how to downgrade it to 4.4.4. However, every tutorial that I've found is for Windows computers, and all of my computers are macs, so I don't know what to do. I'd prefer not to mess with rooting my phone at this time, and I've backed it up using helium, but if someone could walk me through the steps to flashing it with 4.4.4, it'd be greatly appreciated. Welcome to the forums! I'm not aware of any way to downgrade your software version on newer Samsung phones. I've asked Samsung reps at Best Buy and they say it's not possible to roll back, even with their software. Have you tried any trouble shooting for your S5 after updating?
