Need help installing music to my sd card

I own A HTC ONE M8, i tried transferring music to internal storage works fine but i would rather have my music on my sd card since i'm using a 128. Once i have the music transferred on card i only get a few minutes worth of the song then its blank and moves on to next track and does the same, when i got to restart phone POOF it disappears. I have also tried different sd cards thinking i may have a bad card but it happens to all of my cards. PLEASE HELP

how did you format the sd card? did you use computer or your phone? Try formatting while SD card is in the phone.

What kind of music are you copying to the card? Format? Bitrate?

I've done the same thing just by connecting to my windows pc and opening up My Computer to view the available devices. You should be able to click on the phone and see the external storage option. If you don't, you may need to format the card in the phone first.
