Can I get some help setting up a free texting App on Android Wear?

Free Texting App on Android Wear

I've been using Text Free by Pinger on my Note 4. As an unlimited data user I have to pay for texts. Can anyone help me set up "free texting" and use it on the Moto 360? Or is that possible? I'm not talking about the function of opening the free text app on the phone. I'd like to text for free on the Moto 360.

The Moto 360 will use whatever texting app you have set up as primary on your phone. It doesn't have a texting plan or anything of its own, just uses your phone.

Can you help further TJ ? I went into settings/ app manager/ texting default and the only two listed were Messages & Hangouts. Both are not free. Is there a work around to get Pinger Text Free to be the default on the watch and the phone?

I downloaded pinger, didn't see it in my texting apps either. I didn't create an account though. Maybe it's not considered a texting replacement app since it doesn't use the messaging service of your provider. I wish I could help further but I'm not familiar with that app at all. Maybe someone will chime in that can assist.
