Need help setting up a ROM

I have a galaxy s3, model SGH-T999. I have been trying to flash a ROM (Carbon ROM, to be specific), but have not been successful. I have little experience with rooting & ROMs, so guidance on what to use would be extremely helpful.

What I have done so far is downloaded the zip files (both the main and gapp) and tried to flash them with the flashify app. Each time I get "E: failed to verify whole signature. Installation aborted." Any tips on how to fix this / different apps or methods?

Download from where an MD5 signature is posted. Use an MD5 program to verify the MD5 of the files you download. (That's usually what causes a signature failure - the file's MD5 doesn't match what it should be because you got a bad download.)

For further help, fins the Carbon developer (probably on XDA) and ask.
