Can I get some help with a battery drain on my new Android phone?

new android phone weird battery

Hi so i just purchased a new android phone and well after draining the factory charge to 15% my android is telling me to charge it and so i did but it only stops at 60%. I tried using other chargers but the result is still the same. So what i did is i drained until it dies (0%). After that i charged it and surprisingly it went until 100%. So my question is why did it not charge pass 60% before? thanks!

its been weeks now and the battery is still charging until 100%
