Can I get some help with a few problems with emoticons from text field?

Problems with emoticons from text field

Since today, I've not been able to use the smiley face in my text field under the file icon to add emojis... It worked fine up till today... Is there some setting I may have accidentally turned offi have the keyboard set to automatic in settings to allow emojis.. Any help is appreciated.
