3 Uk internet/tethering issue with one plus one

Hi
I have never used hotspot on my one plus one, but my network keeps sending me message that you are not allowed to use hotspot on your package plan and they disconnect my internet. it happens every so often, sometimes after every 3 4 minutes sometimes after 3 4 days.
my network is 3 UK and data plan is unlimited.
phone has been rooted and on stock Rom,
PLEASE HELP :'(

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

I switched to Three about 8 months ago. I have 200 minutes and unlimited / 1000gb data on a rolling plan (£3 more than a 12 month plan), which includes a 4gb tethering allowance. (they just upped it from 2gb).

I am not rooted. TBH, possibly because I did not set any payment limits, only once did my tethering register on my account. Most times I go well over 4gb tethered, but it shows I have not used any tethering allowance.

I suspect it's either because you are rooted, your account was not set up correctly, or you are on a plan with no tethering, in which case you should ask to switch. The Three app and your account will show your tethering allowance.
Pop in to a store, even if you are paying for the phone on contract it shouldn't matter to them if it's been rooted.

But no, I can't give you a technical explanation. This post has mostly been about my favourite subject - Me. Sorry.

Correction - I didn't read your post properly. Your One Plus One is saying you are tethering when you are not. Unless you can use a tethering app in the UK, and you say you are not, they shouldn't disconnect you. Are you on an old plan without tethering. Does the Three app (above) show tethering.

I would go to a store rather than 3 support and be patronised on the phone by someone in India who won't listen (in my experience).
