Nexus 6 bluetooth track info

Any help how to stream music files say from spotify on bluetooth from my Nexus 6 to my car so that the song/artist info shows up on my car screen ? Previously worked when hooked up through usb on old iphone, but I know isn't available for most part on Android. I bought new bluetooth accessory to stream music that works great, but is there anything I can do to have the info show up on my trucks screen ? I have a Nissan that only does bluetooth cals, but seeing if there is any work round for this that I can do since Android don't stream audio through usb.

Have a car audio system that accepts the format that your phone/Android version combination outputs. Bluetooth is a pipe, it doesn't specify what data goes through it or the format of the data. The two devices at the ends of the pipe have to speak the same language. Since there are so many ways of doing things, and it seems that Google changes the format with each version of Android (or maybe the manufacturers are the ones changing it), if the car audio manufacturers don't keep up, you're soon left with a system that only does the audio - no controls, no text.

I don't know I have a a 2010 Nissan that never has an issue streaming artist and track information from Google Play through I don't know how many upgrades of Android.

I have a nissan 2012 rogue. You are just putting it on aux mode and playing music, right through bluetooth connection right ? or hows your setup ?

I don't think that will work in AUX mode. AFAIK, the radio has to be in BT mode to get track, artist, info.

Google Music shows track info for me on a 2014 Skoda Octavia but Spotify doesnt show any track info via bluetooth, neither does Deezer, so I stick to google music. I guess their apps must be different.
