HTC One M8 issues and questions
Hey guys,
I just received an M8 through work which will temporarily replace my Moto X 2.
The few things I didn't like are really starting to bother me.
1) I am used to hearing notifications through headphones, even if the phone is set to vibrate only. This doesn't work with my Sony SBH80's. I'm simply not hearing notifications. Even when the phone is set to normal, sounds are extremely low through the headset.
Can this be fixed? I want to hear notifications if a headset is connected and the phone is set to vibrate only. Preferably not by using Tasker.
2) The Do not Disturb schedule is canceled if I press the notification. This is absolutely useless, compared to stock Android DND scheduling, or even Motorolas Sleep schedule.
Is this function permanent or are HTC perhaps working on a change? Is there a workaround?
3) I'm used to being able to disabling apps that I plan on replacing, such as the Motorola Gallery app, the regular Mail app, etc.
On the M8, I'm simply not able to disable standard apps. Not even the standard Mail or Gallery apps.
Can this be done without root?
4) I use Tasker to turn my lights on at home whenever the alarm goes off and I am at home. I understand the alarm function in Tasker doesn't work with HTC Sense, so I tried creating a profile that utilizes the event %NTITLE = *alarm*.
This works when the phone is out of Do not Disturb.
Is there a better solution to this?
