5.0.2 OTA to Nexus 9

Hi,

I have an issue with this update. Yesterday I accepted the update 5.0.2 and now I am always blocked on the reboot screen. I am trying to reinstall the factory settings but it doesn't work..(How long I have to wait? Because it's take more than 1 Hour, so I stop the process...)
If somebody can help me...

Thank you!

Same issue here. I've been waiting for few hours and no news...

Update: I've tried to wipe cache but no improvements. I'll try factory reset tomorrow if no news and if it doesn't work I'll load the factory image.

I would appreciate any other idea.

I have a similar problem. Recived the update and when it rebooted I had Lollipop's foating colored circles for 2 plus hours. I did a factory reset, but to no avail. Screen is still stuck on the floating colored circles. Called Google and said there isn't much they can do since I purchased it from Amazon. Contacted Amazon, and they told me they can't do much since the device is outside the 30 day return period. Called HTC and they are having me send it to them to be 'repaired'. Bummer is, I have to pay shipping to them! Wishing I had ordered directly from Google. :'(

5.0.2 gave me a failing process that basically took control. Factory reset and clearing cache did not help, on it's way back to HTC!

I can't offer any ideas at the moment :(
I wonder what could have caused you guys problems, maybe its related to a corrupt download.

Guess that's the advantage of buying from Google. They're sending me a replacement, and I'll have to ship my brick back. I had a similar problem to yours. I tried the cache reset and the factory reset, with hours of floating circles on both, to no avail. Just won't get the replacement in time for a 5 hour flight (each direction), since they couldn't overnight it to me. Kinda why I have the tablet in the first place. At home I have other sources, but I'd like something bigger than my phone for in-flight entertainment. Have to wonder why that 5.0.2 update is still available for download when it has this severe a known issue. I did wait a few days before downloading/installing it. Wish I'd checked the boards before I did so, though. Thought it was a minor update, what could go wrong. Silly me. Have all my iPad toting relatives and friends telling me I should have gone iPad. That's what hurts the most.

Re: 5.0.2 OTA to Nexus 9

My update went fine, but I'm curious if folks that had issues had any similarities that may help others yet to update mitigate the risk.

1. Have you guys with bricked 5.0.2 N9s rooted, modded, or done anything "non-baseline"

2. Do you guys know if you had unusually low free space?

3. Was your N9 an early version?

4. Any issues before the update that may be indicative of a cause?

Since we can't help those already bricked maybe we can help those yet to update a little?

Yep, having remnants of root can cause issue with ota's not taking.
I Always use wugs toolkit to flash back to stock, then check your storage - if it shows say 16gb on a 32gb tablet just preform a FDR & all will be well again.
That way you can take an OTA with no issue's then reroot if you like.
