Can I get some WiFi support of Android 4.2.2?

WiFi support of Android 4.2.2

My network is WPA/WPA2 with AES. Will Android 4.2.2 support AES. I have a Google tablet using the latest 5.1.1 and this connects OK but my 4. 2.2 phone will not authenticate
