Can I get the Nexus 5x on AT&T

I am having to move over to AT&T, my parents are going to pay my phone bill for a while, and I would like to know if I am going to be able to get the Nexus 5x on it? I am a long time Nexus user and this would be an added bonus for me!

Not at this time. It is not available from US carriers.

Thanks. Do you know if that is likely to stay the case once the phone is released? I like the sound of the nexus, but it's not worth spending the extra money when I can get another phone basically free.

No one knows. I'd say at this point it is doubtful for the near future. If anything it would happen after the phone is released for awhile.

Google has indicated they're not going to be selling this phone via any carriers. I think that's one reason the price is much lower than other top phones.

Not necessarily. They can still sell it through carriers and/or retailers (Best Buy) and keep the same price. It will be up to the retailers to offer the subsidized discount or keep the MRSP if they choose to carry it. I think it's a move by Google to promote their online store and get people there to see everything else they have to offer, i.e. watches, chromecast/audio, etc.

When I purchased my nexus 6 through T-Mobile. They sold it for exactly the same price as Google. They didn't make any extra money of that purchase, save my monthly fee anyway.
