Can I just insert the 4G SIM card from my current dead Verizon GN
into another Verizon GN and start using it? Or do I need to call
Verizon and tell them I'm using a different GN?

Thanks! :)

You can just stick it in and use it.

so the Verizon Wireless tech support guy on the phone was just trying to scare me?

Perhaps he's one of those clueless
Verizon employees? :D

I doubt it will fry anything. However, I was under the impression that you could not stick it in another phone, as it was tied to the phone.

The SIM on the GN is a micro SIM. So the old SIM would also have to be a micro SIM.

Is there any way to convent from a micro SIM to a size like the larger SIM that came with the Thunderbolt? That would be pretty pimp to change phones when you felt like it.

wow did he really say that? LMAO!!! take this from experience majority of ALL tech support have NO IDEA what they are talking about. they just go off what others say around them or heard through training, which majority of the time is wrong as well.

well... it turns out that the Verizon tech was right, sort of...

the SIM inside my Galaxy Nexus also got fried when the phone came into contact with water.
(perhaps because it happened while I was in the middle of a call?)

the old SIM card could not be recognized by the new phone... or any other phone for that matter.
good thing the replacement Galaxy Nexus came with a new SIM card, so I just called VZW and
activated without any issues or wait. :)

If the original SIM was damaged of course it isn't going to work.
