I know I can't update a rooted phone. I am asking if there is some sort of fix or workaround available. I will root if am I'm sure of one because I will update to android 6 when it comes out in next year. Currently on 5.1.1 COJ2 firmware on 910H. Thanks

I think your best option is to download the firmware from Sammobile and flash using Odin. That will mean that you will need to root the device after update though and the ways to root keep changing as Samsung keeps trying to prevent us rooting our devices.

There is no ROM for my region. Can I flash any?

You can flash a ROM for your version of the device. For example mine is the N910F so I am able to flash ROMs for the N910F. Just be careful and follow the flashing instructions for your device.

Yea I know that. But what if I install ROM which is released for other country? Will this change my modem?

It will not brick your phone. The worst thing that could happen would be reception issues. The version of the phone means is exactly the same phone of that same version. A N910F used in Germany or UK or USA is the same. I've used firmware from Poland, UK, Germany and Russia without a problem.
