AC Question

I was trying to clear up space on my phone by deleting unneeded photos out of the "my files" app, on my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. I accidentally deleted a folder which had all of my S-Memos, a Snapchat album (with over a couple hundred pictures in the album), and all of my music that was downloaded through a music downloader app. I cannot find the files on my SD card, and they are nowhere on my phone. I downloaded "Fonepaw" to try to recover my lost data but it couldn't seem to locate the lost data, it could only recognize the photos that were not lost. I am unsure as to where the files go after deleting them out of the "My Files" app.
Any help would be great, thanks.

They don't "go" anywhere, they're marked as deleted, and the space they're in is marked as unused.

If you root the phone and install an app like DiskDigger undelete (root) (you'll need the paid version for anything but pictures), you can recover anything that's still there.

If you think the files are on the SD card, though, plug the card into a computer (you'll need a USB adapter - but the Anker 8 in one is only $9) and run PhotoRec on it (there are versions for Linux, MacOS and Windows). It's free, and it works - but it takes forever, so do it when you don't need the card to be in the phone. (And I don't mean an hour or two - a large card could take days.) It'll recover anything that looks like a file. You won't get the names back, but you'll get the type back, so you'll get files with names like file0001.jpg or file0002.mp4. For money, it's a great program. For free it's unbelievable.

Instructions, if you don't speak Linux, are at PhotoRec Step By Step. (You'll be working in a Linux command shell.)
