Can i root my Hero while my service is suspended?

Ok, so ive recently hit a slump and my sprint acct is suspended... Anyway, i still use my Hero for camera and music and WiFi and such and was wondering if it was possible to root it with it bein suspended and if there are any probs i might run into?

Sure. As long as the phone turns on and can get past the activation screen (which if you are using it for a camera, you are).
