Can I save to phone memory vs. SD card?

Is there a way to save to my phone's internal memory instead of the sd card? My card is full but I still have TONS of room on my phone...but it wont let me download anything such as music, etc. saying I dont have enough storage. tips?

I too would like to know more about this issue - it is my understanding we can only save to the SD Card and Internal, and have zero control over phone memory.

I came to the boards today looking for a reason as to why I cannot update a large app (27MB) when I have over 600 MB available on the phone memory, 1.2 GB on my SD card, and 6.5GB available on internal phone storage.

This phone is starting to piss me off, and Verizon is making me more so. Rooting becomes more and more attractive every day.

While I didn't answer your question, I hope you don't mind my leaching onto it as our issues are similar in content.

i just plug mine into my mac and mount as disc drive . when i do that my phone and sd card both show up on my desk top . then i drag and drop what i want into which ever place i want . i just was thinking the same as you . what about all this room in the phone so i put 3gig of music on my sd phone memory last night
