hello.
I am not planning to use e-library with any app.

Can I side load books from my laptop to the 8.4 tablet?
.........I have Moon reader. Interested to know opinions about Moon vs Calibre Companion
I use Calibre on my laptop, works great for me.

I would put your books on an SD card. Moon should read the card and add them to the Moon app for Android.

Personally, I loaded my books up to Google Books and can read them on my phone, tab, and chromebook.

You can use "Ex File Explorer" on your tab to connect to your laptop through wireless network.
Or upload your books to OneDrive then download it in your tab
