How to use my samsung edge seven 's connection to surf internet on my laptop

i have a need for knowledge wich will help me to experience more freedom

my cell phone is a samsung 7edge and my laptop is a DESKTOP-TGEM87 LATITUDE E6440 dell with windows 10 pro x64

I read that i can use my cell phone plan to surf the net with my laptop.
I tried couple things but i cant see the network available via my laptop.
I dont know how to set it . i dont want to cel phone to be just rebounding from anorther signal, I want my cell phone to provide for the laptop to connect to the internet , no other things involved but the cellphone connection using the celphone phone plan that includes like 4 gig of data.


on my laptop the hotspot option is in gray color but the wifi is in blue color.

could you tell me if my project can fonction with my cel and laptop and if yes exactly how to do it ,

steps on the laptop?

This all assumes your mobile service plan actually includes Hotspot. Not all plans support it.

Whoops, sorry -- I misread your question and thought you wanted to share the laptop's internet connection with the phone.

hi on the laptop,

1. Select Start , then select Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot.

it is written in red # we cant set up mobile hotspot because your pc does n t have a ehternet wifi or cellular connection.#

ps the laptop on the right side is not on airplane mode .

Ok, I'm a bit confused now. Please clarify -- are you trying to share the phone's internet connection (i.e., the data connection you have through your cellular plan) with the laptop? Or are you trying to share your laptop's internet connection (i.e., from the Ethernet plug or Wi-Fi connection) to the phone? Which device doesn't have its own internet connection?

Verify your plan has hotspot, you mentioned your plan has 4 GB data is that hotspot or only mobile data?
