AC Question

Just switched from iPhone 6S to S7 Edge. Love the new Edge, but when I purchased I thought I could unlock the Galaxy the same way I unlocked the iPhone, just pressing my finger on the start button.

It actually does work that way if the phone has been off for like 20 minutes, but if the phone (and I don't really understand why it's set up this way) has just been used a minute or so before, then I (or anyone) can push the start button and I'm then prompted to swipe to unlock.

Is there a way to set it to work just like my iPhone 6S? At all times I just want to push and hold the start button and have my fingerprint unlock it - no matter how long it's been since I used the phone - and completely bypass the swipe.

Anyone know,
Thanks, Robert

Settings -> Lock Screen and Security -> Secure Lock Settings -> Lock Automatically -> Choose your option.

Personally I set it for 30 seconds, because all too often I jump right back in after a screen timeout. But if you want to be very strict about it, you can set it to "Immediately".

There's also a "Lock Instantly With Power Key" setting. If you turn that on, then it locks automatically when you use the power button to turn off the screen. If you leave it off, then it defaults to the screen timeout setting.

Disregard the swipe to unlock notice and just use the fingerprint. Works fine on my S7 Edge.

Edit: whoop sorry misunderstood. Follow the instructions on previous post.
