My device is a moto g4 on android 6.0.1 and i want to update to android 7 and my bootloader is unlocked and nothing else, i dont have root or a custom rom just stock and an unlocked bootloader, can i still receive the update?

Welcome to the forums. You should be able to still get the update. OEMs typically send it out in clusters, so that may be why you haven't had it yet.

Hi Finley Wood,

you should be aware that the update might re-lock your bootloader. In my case (other phone, ZTE Axon7) the bootloader was locked and not able to be unlocked after the update to Android 7. I don't know if this applies for the Moto G4, maybe someone else can say something about that.

I realize this is an older thread, but I'll chime in here since I'm using a Moto X PE. My phone had an unlocked Bootloader. I gained the update to Nougat just a few days, if not weeks, ago. My phone still has an unlocked Bootloader post-udate. So my best guess is that you should be able to get it, if you haven't already. It might also depend on your phone specifically.
