Can I stream HD videos for an extended period of time?

I know very little about computers so I am hoping you can give guidance. I was originally planning to buy a laptop but I would rather own a tablet if I can. If I do purchase the tablet I would be streaming flash videos for an extended period of time (all day basically) and I was wondering if the tablet will be able to handle that? You know how after an hour or so of streaming from a laptop frames start to slow down as if you are watching a slow motion movie? Will that happen with this tablet?

I think video streaming for an hour or so should be fine.
Jelly Bean has fixed most of those lag issues due to prolong use.

Edit:flash has to be side loaded jus an fyi.

You'll want to know that you'll need to follow some instructions for a workaround to watch flash videos. It's very easy, but not very obvious. See the sticky thread in this forum.
