Can I turn a Bell (Canada) TW GS4 into a Google Edition S4?

Title says it all. Is it possible to gt a regular S4 from Bell Mobility (GSM I believe) and flash it with the official Google Edition ROM?

I know I could use stock-based ROMS, but that's not what I want. I want a subsidized GE which can get OTA updates.

Possible?

look over at xda for your device version... I know there is one for the verizon s4

Karl, you got the M919V I think in Canada. I have the M919 on T-Mo in the US. There isn't anything for us just yet like the HTC One users have where we can convert to identical status. I think at least in my case that is slightly disappointing given the M919 and the i9505G are the same thing. Same FCC number.

Bell, Telus and Rogers all carry the i337M model in Canada.

I'd like to know how to turn this model into a Google Edition ROM too. Most of the ROM's I've seen on XDA are tweaked versions of the GE ROM. Is there anyway of getting the stock version of the ROM that would get the updates OTA?

most of those roms that I see, do get OTA's from the developer. Although, most developers suggest clean installs every time. OTA's from google are never as fast as these developers when it comes fixing issues anyhow.

But it seems like most of the dev ROM's are constantly in flux. I'd rather have a stable stock (or as close to it) JB ROM that I can install and forget - and avoid continuous updating.

there are plenty of roms that are stable. Most updates in said roms are added tweaks, etc. You just gotta dive in and flash some to see for yourself.

There is no such thing as flashing a rom that gets updates/OTA's directly from google.

Pure G is a good one, but seeing as the source for 4.3 for the S4GE has been rolling out, I'm sure it'll be updated to it soon enough.
