can I updat with root?

I just received a update with tmobile. But I just rooted last work. Do I need to unroot to update? Not shore what the update is. Thanks

At the very least you will need to have Stock Recovery to get the download, even while using Kies. It seems the new version of Kies looks for the stock recovery also.

Should I downloaded the update and see if the update will install? I'm running stock version of Ice cream

If you have Stock recovery you should be good. If not you will have to go back to Stock rocovery.
