Can I Upgrade to Android Marshmallow (6.0+)

I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime LTE SM-G360M.
I recently updated my phone to try to hack the Pokemon Go app as I live in a dead zone, but I noticed that my system did not upgrade to 6.0+, it instead remained on 5.0.2 (Lollipop). I have since gotten to hack the game using TuTu app, but the game constantly 'stop working'. I tried to root my phone but that as well has failed. Is it possible to upgrade to Marshmallow? OR Is there another way to hack Pokemon?

There are some 6.0+ ROMS over at XDA you could try out if you're into that.
