Can I use a Google Play Nexus 6 on Verizon?

Google play Nexus 6 on Verizon

Hello this is my first time posting on this forum. I recently purchased the google play edition 32 gb nexus 6. From all the reviews that I have read it should work fine on verizon. However when I went into the store expecting it to be as quick as putting in a new sim card that did not happen, go figure its verizon. I currently have an htc m7 and unfortunately its not the same sim size as the nexus 6. I was told by the sales rep that he could not activate my device because it was not on the approved list. Id really hate to be out 650 bucks with a useless device. I would happily switch carriers however my wife just recently upgraded to the iphone 6 which extended our contract. Any advice would be appreciated thank you very much.

Get a Sim cutter from amazon. And trim your Sim.

Yes yes yes. This is by far the easiest method of getting your N6 working on Verizon.

If you call Verizon your experience will vary from tech to tech, call to call. Took me hours to finally get through to someone in tier 2 tech support who knew what he was doing and got my N6 working.

Save yourself a lot of time and frustration. Just get a SIM cutter.

You can use it and there is nothing they can do about it. I use a Droid turbo Sim

I bought one on Amazon advertised as unlocked, turns out it is the Sprint model, long story short Verizon gave me the same story about not being able to activate it so I just cut down my SIM and it works just fine. No 5.1 ota yet but I'll wait for a bit to see what happens there.

Yep. I inserted the SIM from my Droid Turbo and everything started working in about 2 minutes. I couldn't do VoLTE immediately, but once I side loaded lollipop 5.1 it was enabled and life has been good.
