Good day.
I am an AT&T subscriber and I'm getting ready to pre-order my Galaxy S7. I wasn't able to root my current Galaxy S5 because I bought it after the updates that blocked towel root (and I didn't want to do the roll back).
A friend told me that I may be able to buy a T-Mobile version of the S7 and use it on AT&T's network because they're both on GSM. Hi logic in doing this is that T-Mobile doesn't lock down their phones as much and I should have a better chance to root in the future when someone figures out how to do it. (Plus, T-Mobile is a bit cheaper so that's an extra bonus.)
Does anyone know if this is this accurate? If it is accurate, is it recommended? What are potential usage / bandwidth issues or any other problems doing this would present?
Thank you in advance for your time and please let me know if you need me to clarify any of this.
