Can I use an unlocked LG G4 on Verizon network?

I am a Verizon customer using an iPhone 5c. I received as a gift a brand new LG 4G phone, purchased from Amazon, unlocked. Verizon is telling me that this device is not compatible with their network. I certainly want to keep this phone and do not want to go through the hassle of switching networks. I am wondering if there is any way I can cheat the system and use this phone with Verizon... Any ideas are helpful. Thanks so much!

I bought my unlocked G4 from Amazon, but it was a Verizon version. What carrier is yours? Pop the SIM out of your iPhone and put it in the G4. You will need a nano to micro SIM adapter.

A Verizon phone has CDMA hardware. AT&T, TMobile and pretty much the rest of the world has GSM hardware. Using a GSM phone on Verizon would be like watching TV on your car's speedometer - the hardware is all wrong.

a unlocked G4 has pretty much all the bands for GSM and CDMA ..and LTE is standard across the board ...GSM vs CDMA is pretty much a moot point these days
