I just had a Kenwood dnx574s installed in my car. I don't know why android auto is so funniky. When I plug my phone into my car, first my LG v30 makes this really weird sound from low to high. Then I get a window pop-up asking to allow or deny the connection. Usually if I dont touch it, android auto will appear on my radio and I can open it. But it doesn't auto start slacker. So then I need to open slacker on the radio. But the music doesn't auto start. So then I have to unlock the phone and open slacker on the phone and start it playing. All this to just get music. I haven't even started Waze yet. Then I have to open Waze and start navigation on thr dash radio.
This is too much of a hassle. I want to get in my car and go. I should be able to turn my car on, plug thr phone in. Android auto should autostart. Music should auto play. And Navi should come on auto. But it doesnt.
One workaroind is if I could have my music play via non android auto only Bluetooth. Then I would open android auto only for maps. Is there a way to have android auto only control maps and not music? Or does someone else see a different option? Or does everyone that has android auto mess with getting everything working for 5 minutes everytime they start their car and not see a problem with that.
