Can I use data while calling on my S9 with a phone serviced by/purchased feon straighttalk?

Straight Talk is an MVNO (they purchase time wholesale and resell it to you retail), they're not a carrier, and it depends on the carrier you're using and their contract with that carrier.

I am able to do that. Samsung S9+ US unlocked with AT&T Straight Talk SIM.
If you bought your phone directly from Straight Talk then they will be the ones to give you an answer. Did you buy online or at Walmart?

With ST I've found the easiest way to get an answer from them (their customer service is not the best) is to do a help ticket on their Facebook page. Also you can go to the website and there is a button to click for a live chat.
