Can I use my home WIFI for phone calls?

Sometimes I have such poor signal that I cannot make a call. I understand that some phone companies allow WiFi conenct for calling. Is this good for Consumer Cellular and Moto G?

You can if you use something like text now. But not with the default phone app.

I presume that you are suggesting TextNow as an app. It is probably a good product but when I went to the web site, they childlishly used light gray on white as text and I cannot read the information they present. I can only imagine that they do not want us to read anything on the web site. Whoever designed that site is a failure.
