I'm using a US T-Mobile version with Mexico Telcel GSM

Yes, it should work but since it has T-Mobile's 3G frequencies it probably will only work on EDGE (2G) and not their 3G unless you find a carrier that uses the same 3G frequencies as T-Mobile.
