Can LG Gpad F2 8.0 be upgraded?

My LG Gpad 2.0 is on Andriod 7. Im no longer with Sprint to the LTE part is inactive and I oulled the Sim card. So eifi only and I dont get Spri tmota updates any more. Can I upgrade to a newer version if Android? The tablet has 2gb ram and 16mb storage.

Looks like the last update was still Android 7.0: https://nerdschalk.com/lg-g-pad-f2-update/. It's a 3 year old budget tablet, so it wouldn't have gotten any more updates after that (certainly not for a system version upgrade).

Since I don't need Sprint anymore, what's the easiest way to update As a non-LTE tablet? That's assuming the hardware can support a more modern version.

What I'm saying is that there's no official update above Nougat for that device. If you want to dig deeper, you can check the forums at XDA-Developers.com if you want to root the device and see if there's a custom ROM based on a higher version available.
