Can Lollipop read Windows lnk (shortcut) files and bring up the document?

Hi,

Nexus 7 2013, Lollipop 5.02.

I'd like to have a document load on the Nexus by tapping the windows shortcut icon I can see on a Windows computer on our network. Am I being too greedy, or is there a way to do it?

Any tips/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Too greedy!! Haha... Sorry, but the reality is that LNK files are a Windows file, and cannot be opened in Android. Even if they could be opened, the file would point to a filepath target that doesn't exist in your Android (i.e. c:\\Windows\MyDocuments\Whatevs.doc). You can open the LNK file in your Android device using a text editor and from there you should be able to see the shortcut path so that you can look for it in your network, but that's about it.
