Can music be stored on the SD card?

Is it possible to store music on the SD card and play it from there rather than storing on the phone? I am really sick of iTunes and would love to have more control over the music loading/storing. Thanks for any input!

Yes; but if you're using the card as removable storage, typically it plays one file, but that depends on which player you're using.
