Can not get past SAMSUNG boot screen

I tried flashing the kernel of my phone today, using SGS, and it worked the first time. Then when i tried to flash back to the original that i backed up my phone gets stuck on the boot screen where it says SAMSUNG. I am currently downloading the Full DI01 ODIN Package in hopes to revive my phone. Will this work or is there something else i can/need to do? Sorry if this has already come but i searched and could not find this topic.

what kernel was it you loaded, and excuse my ignorance but what is SGS?

SGS kernel flasher, It was Stupidfast kernel.

Good, i cam crossing everything hoping it will work just so i can try it again and hopefully not screw it up this time

lol sorry i actually never heard of SGS ,,,i just flash kernels via clockwork.

but yeah follow the directions and odin will work

I'd recommend using ROM Manager instead unless you're getting zip files you can install via CWM. I too have not heard of SGS but apparently something's not right with it.
