Can not receive texts!! Send works fine.

So I have the 2XL and as of Friday I stopped getting my texts. I can send them fine, but am not get any incoming. I tried resetting the app (google messages), uninstalling and reinstalling the app, resetting the app cashe, using a different app, Resetting the network settings, and finally an FDR. On the chat with Verizon right now.

Verizon chat had me run in Safe mode and they all started coming thru, then after going back to regular mode it is working... that was crazy... the FDR should have fixed it.

My guess is it was a network error that just eventually got fixed. I don't see safe mood fixing something that a factory reset wouldn't.

Well it was a crazy coincidence then. The second I booted in safe mode... everything came over. Maybe it was they reset and I rebooted to go into safe mode and it fixed it. I was in TX on business and two flights. who knows.
