can recieve sms from iphone user but not mms

Hello.
I recently got the galaxy s4 and I can text my roommate (J) individually like a personal text on SMS. But when I try to do group message MMS with our other roommate (A) only (A) shows up. So I cannot view (J) text but My texts will go to a group text and they both can see mine. (A) can see mine and (J)s texts and (J) can see mine and (A)s text. it is very annoying and ironic cuz I hardly group chat anyone besides my roommates.
Yes, ive downloaded and tried numerous apps.
Yes i have turned off imessage on all my phones/devices.

Please help!!!

You may need to enable group messaging in the settings.

I have that enabled. I can get group messages from everyone except her. (J)

does she have send as SMS enabled on her iphone. this is used when replying to non imessage users.
