Can S Notes be recovered?

Hello all! My Note 8 did an update. After the update it requested a password I can not recall. I have 2 password attempts left. My old phone instead of my current registered phone is not showing in the Find My Device. If a factory reset is done, can my S Notes be recovered??

If it's linked to your Samsung account then they SHOULD be backed up.
