Can S4 record video in night mode?

I want to record video during night.
I choose night mode but when i press the video button it reverts back to auto mode.
As a result everything is dark again.
I have seen night video footage on youtube from S4 and it was definitely captured on night mode.

Doubtful.. Night mode works with a wider aperture and after that point had some software stabilization built in. I'm guessing a video that normally uses at least 24 frames per second is faster than the shutter speed on night mode
