can screen timeout be extended beyond the 10 min option on note 8?

on note 8 it looks like the creen timeout option only goes to 10 min maximum. is there a way to extend this longer, say at least an hour?

One way us to enable Developer Options where there is an option to keep the screen awake while charging, but that may be of no use to you so I’ll move this to the Note 8 forum.

You might have to go into rooting and custom rom option for that I think.

Just out of interest, how long do you need screen on time for and what do you do that requires it on for >10 minutes?

The screen won't turn off if you're watching videos or something that go past the 10 minutes. Android will keep the screen on when there's a video being played.

Also keeping the screen on for an hour on a static image increases likelihood of burn in.

You don't need to root though. It's a pretty simple thing to do with tasker.
