Might switch on encryption in the phone settings for my sd card so my data is secure if I ever lose my phone or its stolen. But if I do this then it won't work in another phone. So if I want to use the sd card elsewhere in the future, can I disable the encryption or is it a one time only process?

As I understand it, the SD card can be unencrypted and used elsewhere. You'll obviously have to unencrypt the card in the same device that you used to encrypt it.

OK thanks. Didn't want to try it and then find there is no option to go back again! Of course I would unencrypt before removing the card if I wanted to use elsewhere
