EDIT: Don't use this. If you have alternate suggestions, post them here.

If you have time, can someone try this out for me?

You need to be rooted first (I highly doubt the root function will work), but using the enable non-market apps button works on the Captivate, and I don't see why it wouldn't here.

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Download this file, open SuperOneClick, plug in your phone with USB debugging enabled, and hit the button. Let me know what happens (and if sideloading works). You won't see a menu option in the settings. Thanks!

Don't use superoneclick, I'd rather use Aroot, you can find it in the XDA forums. I'm sure its here somewhere as well...

It allows sideloading, superuser and tethering etc

SuperOneClick very bad for the Atrix, messy and could potentially cause your adb files to go missing, this needing to SBF in order to get anything adb to work.

aRoot & Super One Click do not work on

Motorola Atrix 4G
System Version=4.1.57.MB860.ATT.en.US
Android=2.2.1
build=OLYFR_U4_1.5.7

because the psneutor exploit is blocked.

Getting temporary root access...
1100 KB/s (585731 bytes in 0.520s)
Failed to set prot mask (Inappropriate ioctl for device)

I think the phone needs to be flashed to earlier version. I am looking into how this can be done. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I hate locked down phones!!!
