Can Someone Give me the commands to re-size the system partition?

Hi guys, So I took the thunderrom rom, and slimmed it down, re-signed it and now I have a whopping 69.5, out of 166mb free of space on my System partition.

I can hit my phone via adb but I can't find a lot about how to resize the system partition to something like 100mb, meaning I can add 66mb to my data partitions,

It would look like this
System-100mb
Data-238mb (172+66)

I tried using the swiftbootloader without any luck :(

My questions are, will flashing a rom resize my partitions? It shouldn't else I would loose my apps every time.

And can someone post the adb commands to get my partitions to these sizes? I would appreciate it greatly!

I know there are alternatives (app2sd and moving partition to SD card) but I would like to try this route.

Thanks for the help!:D

There aren't commands. Partition sizes are written in the firmware and changing them in the kernel would probably brick the phone since fstab wouldn't match.

An alternative is to write the apps you know you're going to use into the ROM. That will move those apps from /data to /system. Just make sure you have the devs permission if you're going to make the ROM available.

Hmmm :'(

I tried filling up the Sys space with apps I like, but whenever a app is updated, you end up with a copy of it in the Data folder also. TB allows you to integrate apps into the ROM when updated but it doesn't seem to work with all apps.

Thanks for the quick response :)

Is using TiBU to move apps to system as effective as writing them into the ROM? accomplishes the same goals effectively?

I use data2ext, so I didn't spend a lot of time googling changing partition sizes. I read a couple of results and didn't see anything saying that it was viable. One of the suggestions was to integrate apps into the rom itself, effectively moving them into the /system partition. I know that tits backup can integrate apps into the rom, but I don't know how effective it is.

Yes, but it gets annoying as you have to do it everytime a app updates to free up space. My original post was to look for an alternative where you keep minimal apps in the rom(System) and resize the 160mb slated for it. (Also rom files can contain data apps)
