I'm a noob. Can some kind soul please explain to me the difference between these when it comes to custom ROMS:

Rooted & Odexed
Rooted, Debloated & De-Odexed
Rooted, Debloated & Odexed

Much appreciated :)

I copy and pasted the following from another forum:
Apk files have respective odexes that devs use to supposedly save space. Deodexing means you convert it back to a .dex file and put it back inside the apk. This allows you to easily replace files (not having to worry about odexes), but the main point was to deodex services.jar so that you can change all text to different colors (such as the clock color to white) and to deodex services.jar, you need to deodex everything.

Debloated means the bloatware that comes with stock TB phones have been removed

Hope this helps.

In a very basic nutshell, "De-Odexed" means longer boot times but more customizability.

Most custom ROMs are Deodexed it seems.

A friendly correction.:)

Longer boot times when you first boot with a new ROM, then afterwards the boot times are shorter, in some cases a little longer than stock boot and in some cases the same as stock boot.;)
