Can the back of the s7 edge be removed and how?

I don't know they exact process, but I know it requires a heat gun to warm and loosen the adhesive that holds it on.

YouTube probably has how to videos.

But before you try and tear it apart have you tried booting into recovery mode? Or does the phone not power on at all?

Knowing Samsung, you probably have to remove the screen (using a heat gun), then the id-frame, then the reas cover (with a heat gun). Too much chance of overheating the phone and turning it into a paperweight.
