Can the S III record video at 60 FPS?

I don't remember seeing that specification listed anywhere.
Isn't 24 FPS fast enough to reproduce full motion?

Normal video out of the GS3 is 30FPS.

60 FPS isn't needed for normal video, it is needed for those who use their smartphones as pocket cameras for use with applications like Coach's Eye for video analysis on the spot. When you're scrubbing through video or playing it back at Quarter or Eighth speed there is a big difference between 30 and 60 FPS. It's also very important if you want to pull key frames out of the video. Where 30 FPS would skip the frame you'd really want, 60 FPS may have it.

If they had backported slow motion video recording (720*480 or higher resolution), this would be less of an "want," but they didn't. Those iPhones are actually looking really good now that they have 60 FPS recording (120 for the 5S). I think a lot of coaches and atheletes who have Android devices will start dropping them to get that. That capability, and those apps, are a pretty big deal around here.
